Epsilon is Out!

It's been a long 14 months, but finally it's here. It all started as a little experiment (as most of my projects are) with bitmap data in flash, and inevitably evolved into an epic puzzle/strategy game with 35 levels, an original soundtrack, and what could almost be classed as a story-line.

The challenges are based around solving tasks using various fictional technologies discovered as the result of the LHC experiment, primarily wormhole manipulation. Other methods include gravity shift, time reversal, and general cognitive dexterity.

So go and play it, and please report any bugs you find.

I thiiink there might be a bug on level 4e. First time I tried it, the two stationary rifts were connected to each other and so I couldn't get the ball inside. Haven't had any problems since though, nor have I replicated this problem. Weirding.

It's a good game. Not a very unique idea but still fun.

But yea here is a glitch I found while playing, wekk I took a video but I can't find it. Anway, when I tried to reverse time it froze and went back and fourth in time like, a millisecond. While the ball just stayed still, looking like it was lagging.

Damn, can't find that video!

If I ever find out where hypercam saves videos to I will show you what I mean.

Whaow, it happened again. Took another video but can't find it again. I think it happenes when you move a wormhole while time is rewinding.

Just somthing you might want to fix.

Yea, that happened to me aswel. It came out as one big glowing portal.

It's a great game, I played it for a while, still havn't won. There are a few bugs, but I don't know if they were meant to be bugs or not. When it said that there were dangers of using the time warp, a few levels later I had the same bug as Giferd.
Anyways, great coding, the idea, music and graphics were also very good. I can see this being the best game of the month on Newgrounds.

Yeah, try typing epsilon into google, you'll find not everyone believes in exclusivity deals.

Oh, nearly forgot, it's not a bug but no mute button really sucks. Means if I want to pause for a minute and go get my YouTube fix I need to close the game, thereby sending myself back to the beginning of the level... 

EDIT: Yay finished it! The ending is cool. But what's with the last level? Other than you showing off. Cool music in the credits though, reminds me of Dynasty Street.

Try turning the music volume down in the config menu.

Yeah, Rayne it's really easy to put in, I still don't understand why Jorj didn't put one in CF. Just one little code to set for global volume.
At Jorj: I wasn't sure whether the time loop was intentional or not, I would think that it would be intentional because you said that as one of the risks, even though the other risks were bullshit. Also, although I don't know how you coded the time, I don't think time loops would even be a problem. (How did you code the time, anyways?)
Anyways, I was completely impressed with the level of physics, just another little bug, I don't remember when, but I think when the gravity killer was active, and the ball bounce of an angle, it gets stuck and starts bouncing up and down.

It happened on 2 levels.

I think it is where there is no set gravity.

I don't know if it just my PC but If you have ghost rooms and frezze the ball you can't move the portals

But if I move 2 portals on top of each other, I cant move them apart so I can't complete the level.

Not sure how you could get around that. Or if you ment to have it as part of the game.

Just when you press down, press more to the side of one portal than the other.
