I think it's Burger kings dodgy attempt at a marketing ploy.

Probably something along the line of "Australia does not have a king, so let's give them a good aussie name" or something along those vulgarly idiotic lines.

I think the Burger King is a pretty cool representation of capitalism. I mean normally you'd think of some loud fat guy in a suit, but actually a patriarch with a disturbing plastic smiling face who silently invades your personal life to force unhealthy food on you is strangely appropriate.

KFC used to have trans fat.  They say they don't anymore, but there's still a part of my mind that doesn't trust them.
